Civil Services are the most powerful, most respect and most responsible jobs in the country. Every scholar dreams about becoming a civil servant in some part of his/her life. Millions of students and scholars, coming out of their colleges and even after that try to become one and try their luck and knowledge in extensive and one of the toughest competition tests in India, conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and few of them gets to their dream and live a great and respectful life of a civil servant.
The whole process of Civil Services contains three steps or say three steps of examinations organized by UPSC.
First Step is known as Preliminary Examinations which is being held in May month each year and its result gets declared in August (most of the times in second week of August month).
People passed through this first barrier go to second hurdle known as mains examination or say CSM examination which is actually the toughest test and here they (UPSC) tests their knowledge in their chosen subject and general science and two languages.
Recently earlier in August, UPSC declared the results of CSP (civil services preliminary) examinations and now they have declared the dates for CSM which will get organized from 1st December 2013 to 5th December, 2013.
Many of old followers of Civil Services will find this span a bit late and shorter than usual, but it is pretty obvious as the notification of this year’s examination came late and UPSC is going through many changes in terms of whole process of selection.
