What is
iPerform?
iPerform is an internet based learning
solution. Students can access it through a user id and
password.
For what classes is it
available?
iPerform is
available for classes 1 to 12
For what subjects is it
available?
For Classes 1-5 it covers
EVS (which is a mix of Science and Social Science). It also
has some learning games for Maths. For classes 6-10 it covers
Science and Maths. For Classes 11-12, it covers Physics,
Chemistry, Maths and Biology.
What all does it cover?
iPerform is a unique and very effective tool
which provides curriculum aligned resources and explains
concepts in a way that makes it engaging for the student.
Besides, there is unlimited practice from a large and ever
increasing database of questions to test your
strengths.
Can't I find all this on the
internet using a search engine ?
Yes you
can!
In fact, search
engines like Google are far more powerful. The only problem
however is, that they are just too powerful! For instance, a
search on 'plants' in Google fetches in excess of 300 million
pages : in topics as diverse as gardening, poetry, research
papers (appropriate for Ph.D. students), nursery rhymes etc.
To make sense out of these 300 million pages and find
out those which are useful for you can actually take a
lifetime. In iPerform on the other hand, a student only sees
learning content directly corelated to his school syllabus.
Further, the iPerform search engine also fetches
information from within the school syllabus. So if a sixth
grade student searches for 'plants', he will see a different
result from a fifth grade student who does the same search.
The search also searches all the douts that students have
asked over the years on that query and presents the ansers to
those.
There are many learning CDs in
the market which are priced lower. How does it benefit
more?
iPerform offers the following
advantages over CDs :
- iPerform has a vibrant online
learning community. Sitting in Delhi you can share notes or
ask questions from another student who lives in Chennai.

Immediately after taking a test you receive detailed analysis
of your performance (including national comparisons).
- New
learning content is added to iPerform once every week, across
all classes and subjects. So you have something new to learn
each time you login.
Do I need a tutor if I use
iPerform ?
iPerform can be used in
addition to a tutor and school learning. It has been designed
as a supplementary learning tool. You can use iPerform to
learn any time, and from any where (homes/ cyber cafes/ school
labs). Further, iPerform has a number of features such as
interactive content / perfomance analysis, doubt clarification
etc which are not always possibe in schools or with
tutors.
Who has created the learning
content of iPerform?
The
learning content in iPerform has been created by our panel of
subject experts, and has been ratified by eminent
educationists.
How often is new content added
on iPerform?
New learning content is
added to iPerform on a regular basis. You'll be able to view
new additions within iPerform itself on
homepage.
Is iPerform useful for a bright child
?
It is a personalized tool that
allows your child to keep practising as he masters each level
on any gven concept. Thus a bright child can make great use of
the system by answering queries of others and moving ahead of
the class.
How many times can I use
iPerform?
There is no
restriction either on the number of logins or the number of
hours for which you can use iPerform.
How often should I use
iPerform?
You can use iPerform for any
number of hours. For making best use of it, we reccomend that
you use for 2-3 hours a week. It can be used in the following
three scenarios :
- For regular revision
- For help
while doing homework or projects.
- For last day exam
preparation.
Can iPerform motivate my child
towards studies?
iPerform presents the school content in a visual
and interesting format which is proven to motivate the child
to engage with the subjects. Also, the tests constantly
motivate the child to perform better in the privacy of the
home.
What happens if I face a doubt
while learning?
If you face a doubt
while learning, you can ask questions online. All questions
get answered by our panel of subject experts within 24 hours.
However, these questions can also be answered by other
students : and typically you receive a reply much faster using
this route.
What is the vocabulary
builder?
Each time you login, iPerform
serves you a new word (from a large collection of words at
varying difficulty levels) whose meaning you have to give. And
so, with continued practice you gradually keep on improving
your vocabulary.
Does iPerform provide
me with all the lessons ?
iPerform
covers a vast number of topics. It tries explaining those
topics which students have difficulty in understanding through
a textbook. We are continuously adding new lessons. You'll get
to know of new additions on the homepage.
Can I download the tests and do
them offline?
No, you need to take
tests online only to get your report and
results.
Are there objective tests only
or descriptive tests too?
The online tests are objective in nature. However,
there are sample papers provided which contain descriptive
questions. You have to practice descriptive questions on your
own.
Can I download worksheets for primary
classes?
Yes, you'll get a lot of
worksheets which you can access and
download.
I am looking for some sample
papers. Do you have any?
iPerform has a large collection of Sample
questions organised at the topic level. That is against each
topic, you can see a list of sample questions along with their
answers. In addition, you can also search for sample questions
on the basis of keywords.
Is iPerform available in
regional languages ?
No, right now
iPerform is only available in English. However, we do plan to
release other versions of iPerform in regional as well as
international languages in the future. Please write in to us
at iperform@classteacher.com, if you want iPerform to be
translated into some language of your choice.
What curriculum is it based
on?
The content has been developed
primarily for Indian schools and uses NCERT curriculum as its
base. It has been mapped to CBSE board for class VI onwards.
However students from any board can benefit from iPerform
since the topics covered across boards are similar.
Will it help me in my
exams?
iPerform is a big help in exam
preparation. You can go through lessons that you want to
revise, and also take e-tests to check your understanding. It
shall help you beyond a text-book, since the content is not a
replication of textbook, but animations and e-tests (that
provide you with immediate score).
How will I use it?
You shall be
provided with a user id and password, that shall allow you
access to content of your class. You have to go to
www.classteacher.com and enter this id and
password.
What can I do as a
parent?
If your
child is studying in any of the primary classes (grade 1 to
grade 5), we would encourage you to logon with your child and
handhold him as he learns online. Even otherwise, we'll send a
periodic report to you on the progress made by your child. We
would encourage you to discuss this report with your child
each month.
What if I have two
kids?
iPerform
allows access to a single class only. If you have two kids you
need two separate subscriptions.
Can my siblings also
use
it?
Through
one user id, you shall get access to content of one class
only. Your brother / sister shall need to purchase a separate
id and password.
For how long will I
have access?
You could use the content
for the period that you subscribe it for.
